Poetry Festival 2006

RIVER UNION STAGE, DELAWARE VALLEY POETRY FESTIVAL JOIN FORCES

This year marks the first year of River Union Stage’s involvement with one of Hunterdon County’s premier cultural events, the annual Delaware Valley Poetry Festival on October 6, 2006 at the Old Stone Church in Kingwood Township, NJ

The Delaware Valley Poetry Festival, in its ninth year,  features nationally known poets giving free public readings from their works. It is held at the Old Stone Church in Kingwood Township, near Frenchtown. Organized by local newspaper editor and writer Nicholas DiGiovanni, its roster of outstanding poets has included a U.S. poet laureate, two winners of the Pulitzer Prize and three National Book Award winners, giving area residents a rare opportunity to hear and interact with some of the nation’s top writers.

The partnership between RUS and the Delaware Valley Poetry Festival reflects their shared goal of increasing community involvement in the arts.

The Delaware Valley Poetry Festival has featured an array of America's finest poets since its inception in 1998.
