As part of the Frenchtown, New Jersey, WINE AND ARTS FESTIVAL, October 9th & 10th,Sugar Moon Productions present the first annual… RIVER MOON FILM FESTIVAL A celebration of story telling through projected light and sound. When Bucks County screenwriter/filmmaker Wayne Miller approached the organizers of the Wine and Arts Festival with the idea of an invitation only, short film festival as part of their weekend activities, the door was immediately opened. The Wine and Arts Festival will now host the RIVER MOON FILM FESTIVAL, a continuous 2-day screening of local and regional award winning short films. Screenings will begin at 2 o’ clock each day and take place in the second floor loft of the ATELIER FINE ART GALLERY, located at 108 Harrison Street (across from the Hudson Bank) in Frenchtown. A schedule will be announced later in September for those who wish to see a particular film and meet the filmmaker. The doors will be opened every half hour (depending on the length of screening) allowing for a rotation of attendees. We want to ensure that attendees can participate in the many other activities planned for the WINE AND ARTS FESTIVAL. Admission will be $5.00 for the entire weekend, or purchase a passport and sample wines from around the world as well as screening any film of your choosing. Proceeds to benefit RIVER UNION STAGE, a professional, not-for-profit theater company based in Frenchtown, NJ. Selected films will include TOUCHED, a Mike Lemon Film, A SHADE OF GRAY, from writer/director Wayne Miller, THE NOODLE MAN, a Bert Shapiro Film, TANGO OCTOGENARIO, from New York producer David Licata, Academy Award nominated short film ONE DAY CROSSING, from producer/director Joan Stein and Academy Award winning short film MY MOTHER DREAMS THE SATAN'S DISCIPLES IN NEW YORK from Philadelphia producer Tammy Siehel-Stedman. A special screening on SATURDAY NIGHT of the 1978 hit, THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY will be offered at 8:00 p.m. in the auditorium/theater of the Frenchtown Elementary School on Harrison Street. Special guest JOE RENZETTI, winner of the Academy Award for Best Score for the BUDDY HOLLY STORY has graciously agreed to join us for Q & A session after the screening. Joe has some great stories to tell, especially trying to teach Gary Busy how to sing and play like a rock star. |
Headless Horseman makes appearance at RUS Reading of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” |

|
A crowd gathered under the glorious November afternoon sun to enjoy the familiar
story of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane’s unlucky meeting with the Headless Horseman in the small town of Sleepy Hollow nestled on the banks of the Hudson River. As the tale came to
its familiar conclusion, the crowd was greeted with an equestrian surprise. Riding up the blocked off streets of Frenchtown was none other than the Headless Horseman himself paying an unexpected
visit to yet another small town
